I’m rather satisfied with my life.
I’ve also been waking up before 10 AM lately. My goal for Monday morning is 6:30 AM.
I’m really bad at it. And I have work at 7:45 AM twice next week! Yikes!
Good thing it’s not too far from the edge of campus, but still! Still!
Methinks I need to get my bike fixed this weekend. Also need to start riding like it whoa. Or go to sleep super early, which may not be such a bad thing.
Actually, not so interestingly, this page looks better on a PC than on a Mac. Imagine that.
I got my work schedule this week! If you want to visit me, I will be at the lab in VLSB on Monday, Friday and Sunday, and at the one in Wheeler on Tuesday. Be forewarned, though, that I will only say hello to you and can’t socialize or I’ll get fired!
Yikes cripes.
i need to get my finances in order again.
here’s the plan:
– winter break travel
– june: boston
– july/august: brasil/latin america
If I were to choose a song to capture last year, it would be "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap.
Makes me think of cold nights that were spent wrapped in blankets on the couch, watching gay shorts and drinking bottles of wine and eating ridiculously gourmet meals (blame my compulsive shopping and need to cook for others’ approval, or simply knowing such great cooks) or Morningstar Farms buffalo wings ($4.15 at Berkeley Bowl, but I saw them on sale for $3.00/box at Safeway) with friends (Lizzy or Andrew, usually, but also Nicole and Will and Connie and Nate and Cindy and others) while the heater noisily cranked itself up, leaving us with $281/mo. PG&E bills.
I’m still not quite sure what to make of last year. In spite of all my immaturity and breakdowns and flip-outs and awkward moments and such, I really liked it. A lot.
Now I have my shit together and am "sane," apparently. I feel like something is missing.
I think those are the two types of people I dislike the most.
It’s especially bad if someone is both a homophobe and lame.
I know several of those.
